Bourne prints in illustrated Bibles
Reliable references indicate Bourne made several engravings that appear in an 1864 Bible. I have not that particular Bible seen in person, so I cannot confirm.
- Matthew Henry, Thomas Scott, and John MacFarlane, 1864, The practical and devotional family Bible: the Holy Bible containing the Old and New Testaments according to the authorized version.
The reference to the Henry-Scott-MacFarlane Bible came from the WorldCat database (courtesy of David Adams). A librarian at Yale University personally re-examined the Bible in Yale's collection and confirmed to me that that it definitely includes these artists and engravers.

Given the artists listed above, I suspect three Bourne engravings appear in what I call the "Yale Edition" Bible:
- Job and His Friends
- Saint Barbara
- St Catherine
I have discovered there are several editions of the The practical and devotional family Bible with identical titles, dates, and page numbers. The most common version by William Collins, Glasgow ("Collins edition") does NOT include Bourne engravings. I can definitely confirm there are different illustrations in the Yale and the Collins editions. I can also confirm at least two more editions appear under the same name and date with maps but no engravings. The Collins edition includes the following illustrations:
